In 1987, she is engaged - aged 16 - in the Corps de Ballet. In 1988, Coryphee, she dances the Siren in The Prodigal Son (Balanchine).
She is promoted Sujet and awarded Prix de l'Eurovision, in 1989. In 1990, she gains the gold medal at the International Varna Competition.
Roland Petit gives her the part of Death in Le Jeune Homme et la mort. In 1991, she receives the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux, and is chosen by William Forsythe for In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated and by Jerome Robbins for Glass Pieces. She also dances Les Biches (Nijinska).
In 1992, she receives the Prix du public, awarded by the AROP (Association pour Le Rayonnement de l'Opèra National de Paris). Then she is cast as Gamzatti by Rudolf Nureyev in his Bayadère, and dances in John Neumeier's Vaslaw. She is also Myrtha in Giselle, the Girl in Green in Dances at a Gathering (Robbins).
In 1993, she is promoted Premiere Danseuse. She is nominated Etoile after the performance of Swan Lake (Nureyev's version) - on October 31st 1997. She also dances as guest artist with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba (Giselle in the Alicia Alonso's version), the Dutch National Ballet (Romeo and Juliet by Rudi van Dantizig), the Ballet de l'Opèra de Nice (Beau Danube and Le Sacre du printemps by Leonid Massine), the Ballet of Teatro Comunal di Firenze, the Tokyo Ballet and the English National Ballet (The Nutcraker by Derek Deane).
Agnés is also an accomplished costume designer, creating the costumes for Les Enfants du Paradis (choreographer José Martinez), and for Marie Antoinette (choreographer Patrick de Bana).
